Maybelline Models: Those Gorgeous Faces

It's a no-brainer to say that to sell makeup, you need to have a beautiful face, and Maybelline models know just how to do it. Maybelline has always had the right idea when choosing their models, from Christy Turlington to Tomiko Fraser. These girls know how to give the camera that look that makes you have to have what they're selling. They're hypnotic, beautiful, and real enough to make us all believe that with those Maybelline products, we, too, can achieve that standard of beauty.

Josie Maran

This Maybelline face has done work for Guess, GAP, American Eagle, and Ralph Lauren. She's appeared on magazines like Vogue, Self, Glamour, Seventeen, and Marie Claire. She was voted #44 in AskMen.com's Top 99 Women of 2007.

Between her modeling career and parts in movies like Van Helsing, Little Black Book, and The Confession, chances are good that you've seen Maran somewhere before! You may have even heard that she was in a long-term relationship with magician David Blaine.

She may have been born in California, but this girl has the exotic good looks of her European heritage (Russian, Polish, German, French, and Dutch). She was modeling as early as age twelve, and had a contract with Elite by seventeen. She made her way through the modeling scene on the covers of magazines and in a Backstreet Boys video. After that, she hit big by scoring a contract with Maybelline. Then it was in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition, as well as several television commercials for big names in beauty.

Adriana Lima

This stunningly sexy twenty-something Brazilian model (with French, Portuguese, Native American, and Caribbean roots) has been modeling since her discovery at age thirteen. She's worked with Guess and has appeared on the covers of Vogue, Marie Claire, and Harper's Bazaar. If you don't recognize her name from the Maybelline ads, you may recognize her as a Victoria's Secret Angel, quite possibly her most notable appearance.

She was born on June 12, 1981, making her a vivacious Gemini. She got her start in the Ford Supermodel of the World contest as a teen and the ogling hasn't stopped yet. She's truly a masterpiece of beauty, inside and out. Apparently, for most of her life she's wanted to work with children. Her career has given her the opportunity to work with orphans in her home of Brazil, and she's embraced the chance.

Christy Turlington

Here's another girl who can thank the gene pool. She has an exotic, yet classic look, thanks to her mom (Salvadoran), that got her discovered at age fourteen. She promptly signed on with Ford. Not just another pretty face, even at a young age, Turlington had the wherewithal to finish high school before going in pursuit of the glamorous life of modeling.

Another testament to her braininess and business-savvy nature, since 1999, Turlington has created a skin care line (Sundari) and her own line of yoga clothing (Nuala). She may be known as a Maybelline model to some, but others may recognize her from Calvin Klein ads or magazine covers like Vogue.

Erin Wasson

This German-American hottie was born on January 20, 1982 in Irvine, Texas. Not all parents are supportive of their daughters' dreams to model, but Wasson was discovered in a contest her dad entered her into; she'd never even considered modeling as a career. She's a size four blonde-haired, hazel-eyed knockout who loves basketball, surfing, and hanging out with her dogs, and has appeared on magazines like Vogue, Flair, Marie Claire, and Allure.

Wasson's had quite the career! She's not only one of the gorgeous Maybelline models, but she's also appeared in ads from Abercrombie and Fitch, Ann Taylor, Donna Karan, GAP, Rolex, and Victoria's Secret.

Tomiko Fraser

Along with her work as a Maybelline model, Fraser has appeared in movies like Monster-in-Law and television shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Her classically beautiful face has also appeared in a C&C Music Factory's and Lauren Hill's music video. She's full of grace with an urban edge, as is evident by the work she's done and the energetic "today's woman" vibe she gives off.

She's got runway shows behind her from names like Chanel and Vera Wang. She's done magazine covers for Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and Vogue. On top of all that, she's appeared in print ads for GAP and Tommy Hilfiger and is on her way to becoming the spokeswoman for the Lupus Foundation of America. She has it all: beauty, brains, and heart.

Maybelline models may be some of the most beautiful women out there, but they stand for so much more than smiling (in a rich shade of burgundy) and batting your (magnified) lashes to get what you want. They're working with orphans and helping causes. The Maybelline girls are beautiful inside and out.
